Kasatkin reported the case of a man who dreamed he was in an apartment littered with feces and dirty water.
In a second dream that same night he was in a restroom that was dirty with feces.
Later in the dream, he was caught by an enemy who hit him on the head with a rifle butt and another who bayoneted him in the abdomen
The dreamer awoke with dysentery, a headache, and pain in his lower abdomen.
Kasatkin noted that in gastrointestinal disturbances with a slow onset, the repetitive dreams may involve visions of spoiled food, intestinal words, or raw fish.
