A 58 year old woman reported the following dream:
I was a passenger in a car driven by my husband .( I am often nervous about his driving, I feel he drives too fast on poor road conditions etc.)
We were driving on a road up a mountain, a steep narrow road that spiraled upwards around the mountain with a sheer drop off the side of the road.
It was winter, and the road was covered with snow. As we climbed higher we entered into the clouds and they grew thicker until visually the snow covered road just stretched out into the clouds….and then he drove off the edge….
It was so real…I could feel the car go off the road and then slowly start falling downward through the air nose first …the fear , the sheer terror seemed to last forever…..and then I woke up. I was very upset and fearful for a long time after that.
This is the background to the dream:
I had my heart event eight months ago. I was 58 , in good health, slim, rode my bike to work ,good diet etc. , with the only risk factor being a stressful job and dealing with aging parents. I had chest pains while at work, went to the ER, was diagnosed by a small Troponin leak as having a MI, kept in hospital, then while having an angiogram the catheter caused a dissection into the aorta and down the LAD, ramus and left circumflex resulting in emergency open heart surgery and a CABG X3 . I then had subsequent complications of TIA and a Pulmonary emboli. An incredibly traumatic series of events.
