Kasatkin: Diagnostic Dream of Crabs

by Stephen Parker, Ph.D. (Article Selection, Commentary) on June 20, 2010

Kasatkin reports several patients almost identical dreams:

I dreamt there was a crab or something clawing at my stomach.

According to Kasatkin, these patients were unaware of any illness at the time of their dreams, but they turned out to have cancer several weeks or months later.

Reported in Dreams and Nightmares: the Origin and Meaning of Dreams, Ernest Hartmann, page 51.
